We welcomed the Hon Dr Megan Woods, Minister of Research, Science and Innovation, to our showroom and factory today. The visit was organised by ATEED and Callaghan Innovation to inform the Minister about the Auckland innovation ecosystem and demonstrate collaboration between the different innovation groups, businesses and universities.

The Minister was shown existing products like Keystone which incorporate nanofibre for its acoustic benefit. It’s also a collaborative success story between PLN Group and another innovative Kiwi company, Revolution Fibres which has resulted in a world-leading application of Phonix – an electrospun nanofibre.

Minister Wood also inspected a few of our innovations that are yet to be launched to market.

PLN Group is one of a select group of companies who are recipients of a Callaghan Innovation Growth Grant for Research and Development. It was also an opportunity for us to share with the Minister how the grant has had a real impact in enabling us to develop innovative products – boosting the New Zealand economy and improving people’s lives.
